Second Opinions

We are increasingly being asked to provide second opinions regarding treatment that has been proposed by another dental practice.

On many occasions, this is simply to give reassurance that the treatment is appropriate before a patient commits but sadly it can be because treatment has been unsuccessful and there may be legal implications.

Second Opinions

It is vitally important before committing to any form of treatment that you as the patient fully understand the benefits and risks of that treatment and if you have any doubts you should ask any questions that you feel are necessary.

If you are still unsure as to how to proceed then you are quite within your rights to seek another opinion.

Zetland Road Dental Practice provides a full estimate for each and every course of treament and where treatemnt is complex in nature such as implant dentistry a personalised written treatment letter is issued.

Simon Dunn is happy to see patients for second opinions and will provide a treatment plan for any dental work that he feels is appropriate along with a full estimate and explanation. However, please note that he will not under any circumstance comment on dental work already provided by another dentist in terms of quality or whether it was appropriate as this would be both unfair and unethical.

Parking Restrictions

Parking restrictions are in place in Redland and surrounding areas.
There are pay and display bays close to the practice on the start of Salisbury Road, top and bottom end of Northumberland Road, Carnarvon Rd and a few on Zetland Road.  Alternatively Kinglsey Road or Redland Road have some bays.  Please allow enough time to find appropriate parking space.

Please ensure you do not park in permit only bays.

Parking is free for the first 30 minutes although you must still show a ticket (by entering your registration number and pressing the green button without putting money in), and then £1.50 per hour thereafter.

We rarely run behind schedule so please contact us to check how long your appointment is before buying a ticket.
